Continuous Data Protection for files |
With Continuous Data Protection, together with our In-File Delta incremental / differential backup technologies, whenever a file is saved, the changed part will be backed up to Ahsay™ Offiste Backup Server (AhsayOBS). Therefore, the backed up data are synchronized with the live data. Besides, all versions of changes are kept in the backup server and ready to be restored. It is an ideal feature for businesses that have frequent changes to the critical data, e.g. financial institutions, design and architectural firms, etc.

Support of low-cost NAS devices |
A proprietary network attached storage (NAS) module is available in version 5.5. That means the server-side application, AhsayOBS, can now be installed in a supported NAS device. With Ahsay™, the NAS device is turned into an enterprise-class backup appliance and can be used to back up all the computers, database servers, and mail servers within a company. Since the cost of a NAS device is only 10-30% of a regular server, it is an ideal backup solution for small and medium businesses (SMBs) that have limited budget.
Besides, with the NAS module, Ahsay™ Replication Server (AhsayRPS) can also be installed on a second NAS device for replicating the backup data stored on the primary NAS device to achieve added protection.
An intuitive NAS Client Utility tool is available for users to install AhsayOBS and AhsayRPS effortlessly.

These are the features for larger enterprises that have a relatively larger number of client computers to back up. The Load-Balancing feature enables a company using multiple Ahsay™ Offsite Backup Servers to better share available resources and improve performance and stability of the backup system. The support of Windows Active Directory helps reduce the work load of the system administrator in managing the backup user accounts within a company.

Auto-detection of AhsayOBS’s IP address by AhsayOBM and AhsayACB |
The client-side software, AhsayOBM and AhsayACB, can automatically detect the IP address of the AhsayOBS within a company’s internal network. In this case, if AhsayOBS is installed within a company’s own environment, there is no need to enter the IP address of the AhsayOBS manually in AhsayOBM or AhsayACB.

Initiation of backup jobs from AhsayOBS |
If a system administrator has found missed backup jobs from clients because of whatever reasons, he/she can manually initiate those backup jobs from AhsayOBS’ side to prevent data loss disaster.
